FACT DETECTIVES
This activity is super engaging for students! They will read each storyline along with the witness statements to determine which clues are facts and which are just opinions.
Next, students record the clues in their detective notebook and compare them to the suspect cards to determine who the culprit is. If students successfully weed out the opinions, the case will be solved!

DIGITAL ASSESSMENT and ACTIVITIES
This resource includes digital activities that can be used with TpT's Easel feature. The assessment is self-grading. Students read/listen to a statement and choose whether it is a fact or an opinion. Includes 10 questions.
The detective's notebook has been prepared for use through Easel with answer boxes for students to type into. You can assign any of the cases in Easel and then have students complete the notebook page on their device.
There is also a digital fact and opinion sort with self checking answers.
