In the classroom since 2006, I've had the opportunity to teach biology, physical science, chemistry, anatomy, and environmental science. Earning additional certifications in gifted education and AP, I've also been given the opportunity to teach traditional, special education, and advanced classes to a wide spectrum of students.
I would describe my teaching style as hands-on and interactive. I want my students to be engaged. If something doesn't work, I make a note and modify. I love to design lessons that encourage my students to participate, investigate, and report while I stand back and facilitate the lesson.

I'm a perfectionist. Whatever I do, I like for it to be great! The summer of 2014, I became a wife and the stepmother of triplets. In addition, I am the department chairperson, I serve as the secretary of a school leadership committee, mentor to several teachers, a Georgia Science Ambassador, a presenter, a teacher author, as well as the boys' and girls' tennis coach for my school. I tell you that to show you that I understand, life can be busy. When life became too busy and stressful, I turned to TpT for lessons. TpT allows me to provide great lessons for my students all while making life less stressful for myself and for others. I'm thankful for the site and I hope that I can do the same for other teachers.
